A great little novella, short but packed full of wonder and menace

A great little novella, short but packed full of wonder and menace in an oh-so-normal new planet, Laconia. Parents are nervous about the takeover of the military from orbit, and times are changing.Presented through the eyes of a child, the seemingly safe and familiar world shifts. A sequel or series would be nice based on this world.Short but bitter-sweet.

Another great Expanse series novella set in Laconia.

I am a total Expanse nut and have read everything up until this point. I'd recommend reading this novella to learn a little about what the situation is behind the Laconia gate (and to meet Duarte). You'll end up with many more questions than answers and looking forward to hopefully getting those questions answered in the upcoming Persopolis Rising.

Enjoyed the story but.....

got annoyed that it was then followed by Two first chapters of other authors books!I did not buy promotions. I just wanted a longer story about the Expanse.
